KristinAnn Janishefski is a graduate from one of the leading fashion schools in the US, The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. KristinAnn began her career with a high profile fashion, beauty, and lifestyle boutique PR firm in Los Angeles. Her initial interest in the green lifestyle was peaked when she helped launch an eco initiative program for pr clients in LA that wanted to know how they could incorporate green actions into their business and lifestyle. Working hand in hand with her mentor, KristinAnn built upon her industry experience and established long term media relationships in the US market and continued to develop her repertoire as a seasoned fashion professional with a particular interest in green companies.
She graduated with Presidents Honors from FIDM and opted to take the road less traveled and took an opportunity to handle the public relations for a new lifestyle brand based in Montreal and explore the fashion PR world in a city rich in arts and culture. KristinAnn soon exposed the need for a niche market boutique pr firm specializing in eco and sustainable clients and established the Vang uard PR. While building her agency , KristinAnn spearheaded the PR and styli ng departments at Canada’s largest retail fashion brand and made valuable and long lasting relationships within the Canadian media market. KristinAnn has wor ked with some of the top fashion photographers, creative directors, and stylists throughout North America and brings to the table a well-rounded knowledge base in public relations, event planning, fash ion, and styling.
KristinAnn seeks to help others with a shared vision and passion within their field. “I believe that with the drive and determination, anything Is possible. I am trying to do my part to inspire others who share the same sense of d rive and commitment to the industry and community.” KristinAnn has established the Vanguard PR as the premier PR agency in Canada specializing in sustainable sound North American fashion and lifestyle clients. She has an unwavering commitment to the eco movement and has helped grow many “grassroots” eco/green companies into some of the top progressive brands shaping the future of this industry. She is also a contributor to PR COUTURE, the online resource for successful, emerging, and aspiring fashion publicists, designers, students, and educators. When she isn’t trying to take over the fashion and PR world, she devotes her time volunteering with disabled children at a therapeutic riding program in Vancouver.
